16.4 Tweeting and the Dawn
June 12, 2011I am starting in my adventure on Twitter. If you would like to follow me, I would appreciate it.
I am also about finished with my little quilt guild project for the quilt guild show auction.
Here is my design on EQ7.
And my completed center block that I paper pieced.
And then I put the square in a square blocks together.
And then I got ready to put the borders on!
And then I still cut them too short!
Corrected the borders, and now quilt top is complete.
And then I am working on the back, since my piece was too short, I decided to put the left over borders into the designs.
I did finish the back with more of the blue batik on the top and bottom of this.
Now to raid the kitchen to baste and quilt this piece!
I would like to name this quilt something about the morning twilight as that’s when I quilt the most.
Something about dawn, or crimson sunrise or something similar. The block is called night and day.
Darla, you are a very talented designer! Have you thought about making some of your designs into patterns to share with others?
I have and I haven’t Gretchen. I share my ideas for designs on podcasts, but have never gotten the courage to share other than that. I am always taking elements of one design and putting them into another design.
Looks great Darla! I’m just about to join in with Twitter too. 🙂
Oh goodness, I do so enjoy the colors on this block. Seeing things like this makes me think I need to learn paper piecing.
